Westmorland and Furness is developing a new Inclusive and Green Economic Growth Strategy

Westmorland and Furness Council is developing its first economic growth strategy since its formation, focused on driving inclusive and green economic growth across the area. This site will be used during the course of the strategy creation process to host data, feedback and reports.
 
The Council has appointed GC Insight, WSP and CLES to help. The strategy will align with and build on existing policies and visions in place or being developed across the Authority, as well as wider regional strategies for Cumbria and beyond. The strategy will set out a future vision for the area's economy and will account for the varying strengths, challenges and opportunities across the different towns and rural areas. A broad range of internal and external stakeholders will be engaged to support the development of the Strategy.
